Ramatsitsi Attorneys Inc in partnership with the University of Pretoria mentored 4 final year law students from (UP) in 2025 during which program the firm invited the students to attend court proceedings and take practical notes on litigation, job shadowed the profession of an attorney and were assisted in applying for articles.
Our mentorship program offers the students a personal relationship with the director Ms Fulufhelo Jessica Ramatsitsi as they get guidance and perspective on some of the hurdles legal students face. A communication channel is created for all the mentees to meet each other and to attend social events with the director. They are taken on the personal journey with the director and taught important legal and life skills on how to not only survive in the profession, but rather to grow and thrive in knowledge, skills and wisdom. This program runs throughout the year starting in February and ends in December. Only a handful candidates shall be selected and offered the opportunity.
Our job shadowing program is strictly based on inviting students to our office to see the day-to-day professional responsibilities of an attorney. They are taught how to handle and conduct consultations with clients, professionalism in electronic communications with fellow colleagues and ethics within the legal profession. They are also taught how to serve and file documents in court and to draft emails and letters. This program runs twice a year starting from 29th June 2026 – 10th July 2026 and again 7th December 2026 until the 21st December 2026.
